I was wondering that same thing...

We wrapped the utility boxes when I worked in Orlando, Florida. The power company had to consent and approve the artwork. It took some convincing but they eventually allowed it. We had artist create the artwork and them had it turned into a vinyl wrap for the boxes.

Good rule of thumb is gain permission to paint or wrap utility infrastructure. :)

In Milledgeville, I was told we can't wrap the GP utility tower things at the intersections but we could paint. Seemed opposite of what I'd think but that's what they said.

Lake City sounds similar to my city, Monticello, in terms of its isolation from the Interstate, a small population, and the loss of economic drivers; however, we do NOT have anywhere for visitors to stay. Hopefully, our bed and breakfast will reopen in the next year or so, but how can you plan this type of festival without any hotels/motels? Do you have to partner with neighboring communities or is this a case of "if you build it, they will come?" - meaning that if there is a guaranteed need, that developers will come

We started a public art initiative in our community. We are installing four murals on the corners of our town square, and an Art Alley that features local professional and student artists. This inspired our local high school art and technology teachers to create a collaborative "3D Sculpture Art Class" to create art for our community.

We created micro-retail in a vacant building in Monticello. We have brought over 35 new businesses to our Square in that space since November!
