I’ve just been in the Jonny Voon webinar where I am sure he said that subcontractors were not only allowed but that there is no limit on what % of the budget (as there is in the temporary framework)

Normally you can use sub-contractors. Need to be UK based or properly justified if non-UK.

Can you include sweat equity and employee costs for the same project? This is common where the directors/sharholders don't take a wage but they still employ a small team in the business.

How deep is expected to be the PM description of workflow/tasks

Is it better to use short bulleted text rather than full sentences in the section? Bullets are probably easier for the assessor but easier to explain using flowing text.

Is it useful to answer questions with bullet points answering each point specifically or is it better to have a free flow (essay style)

Agree Andrew: as an early stage company we need to engage key people whom we have already identified on short term contracts at day rates. who we plan to invite joi join as permanent employees as a result of the Innovate programme Form is difficult 232 x x = #500 = #116 Key Specialists in certain areas go out at #200K. You have to enter annual rate and then the hours per the work packages to get the actual amount to be paid.

We applied for Round 1, and in theory should hear back at the end of Aug, giving us time to submit Round 2 before the deadline if we’re unsuccessful in Round 1. Should we wait that long, or just submit earlier?

Hi Sarah, there is also the plan for Round 3, so you could wait for feedback and give yourself time to incorporate changes.

In the Round 1 Q&A it was stated that funds might be brought forward into Rounds 1 and 2 if lots of demand; is there a guarantee there will be much left for Round 3? Also we haven’t yet seen the criteria for Round 3!

As this is de minimis I would be interested to know what projects in the agriculture sphere are eligible as usually there is a caveat around not giving companies funding via this opportunity a competitive advantage over other EU countries in terms of agricultural productivity.

About re-application, I believe I read that the same projects can be re-submitted 1 time. That would imply Round 1 & 2 but not 3, or perhaps Round 1 & 3.

Does Innovation have to be some groundbreaking new technology or can a new app that either improves an existing experience be considered innovating.. Eg Facebook verses Myspace… not new tech (AI, Robotics etc) but a better mousetrap so to speak
