Often the challenge is in the primary care clinic where between Jan and March 100’s of kids will present with fever, tachycardia, tachypnea, screaming toddler, hard to get BP, no underlying condition and no atypical exam findings. Far far majority with viral illness or benign. How to decide whom to check blood for lab findings. Needle in haystack.
