Nutrition for mums - Shared screen with speaker view
probably not the greatest question but what's your thoughts on slim fast whilst breastfeeding?
What was the word you used for food that aided good milk supply?
I'm sorry if you covered it as I was a bit late but I've recently finished breastfeeding and my face is breaking out like a teenager and I find myself getting cold sores more often which I haven't had in years. My hormones must be all over the place and I must be run down? Someone suggested evening primrose supplement. What is your thoughts on foods or supplements that are good for leveling hormones?
This is facinating, thank you! Lots of celeb related myths around apple cider vinegar - are there any worthwhile nutrients in it?
Hello, great session. I have a "couple" of questions: 1) what would you suggest to have as breakfast ? I heard you advised smoothies but I like hot milk in the morning especially when it's cold outside 2) For the biscuits you mentioned : oats and another ingredient, I missed that 3) what do you think about vitamins during breast feeding? (pregnacare) 4) what do you think about vitamin D drops for babies who are breastfed? until when?
Does anyone know if GP will do those nutrient tests when requested, or if there's private tests available for this?
I'm still breastfeeding my 13 months old baby boy.. he's not taking bottle at all. any help please? I'm not eating anything healthy and I feel bad if he's getting any nutritious from me
Thanks for all the answers !
sorry i joined later but wanted to ask should we avoid any particular food while we are breastfeeding to avoid colic? heard that fruits with seeds are not great!
NHS now recommends breast fed babies to have a vit D supplement. Even if the mum is also supplementing
Thanks a lot. I have been struggling with snacking and just made my first protein balls when you suggested it

with the kale, do you have it raw in a salad after massaging it with olive oil or does it need cooking first?
Well done Mel! Always love hearing all your advice. I'm one of Mel's clients and wanted to share that before I started seeing her I felt off, my hormones were all over the place and was having a very hard time falling pregnant with second bub. After following Mel's advise and working with her for 3 months I'm happy to say that I'm now pregnant and feeling much healthier :)
Thanks. This was very interesting.
