what are the differences between seed company owner, commercial seed grower, and seed breeder?

I was worried about having enough seeds this year but lots and lots of seeds keep coming to me from different sources and now I have so many, more than I need :)

hmm interesting question. the horseradish discussion from the last session made me wonder about growing seeds for plants that people normally grow by other means. i'd love to hear more about why folks do this :)

there is a garlic eaters minyan in Northampton and they gave us out garlic in goodie bags for rosh Hashanah, and i still have it and am gonna plant it this spring

what if you've started seed saving but the seeds you are saving are from big companies?

or rather like

the plants you're saving the seeds from grew from seeds from big companies

i joined a bunch of plant groups and everything is exchanged and grown through propogation rather than seeds, it's like a whole new world
