Who can see your viewing activity?
The rangers are awesome!
The volunteers, too.
They are AMAZING!
My favorite was the archaeologist at the place by the trolley. She knew specifically what kind of rock Gabriel picked up and where it came from. Gabriel loves rocks.
hi Ms, Sheila!<3
FYI I talk too much. Hopefully it’s not too annoying in chat.
I learned to look way ahead because some things needed weeks prior of preparation, like already sprouting radish seeds.
I get frustrated with finding the supporting things like videos and pictures. Sometimes it’s on a specific page of the book. Sometimes it’s in some gallery that I have to search for because I don’t know where to find it.
I can’t get Gabriel to write much, but he will label his pictures.
Gabriel’s is a mad scientist making a poison and its anecdote with all kinds of test tubes and such.
Lots of activities! Gabriel loves them.
We do a four square thing for every lesson.
Sanj & Chels
not all attendees are muted
We send Kim a lot of pictures.
The reading part is really short, but the activities keep them more engaged anyhow. I guess that’s the point. ;)
So many great ideas, thank you Ms. Sheila!
I found a picture of a big group of engineers.
There are some things that it says to find on youtube or google.
Thanks Ms. Sheila!! You're the bomb! Make it seem possible for non-teachers like us.
That was so helpful! I was feeling a little lost with the minimalistic layout.
I’m year round, so we’ve been working on it.
I like to fly by the seat of my pants teach, so when I find I’m not prepared to do an experiment to kick of a section I save it to wrap up lesson. This gives me time to aquire what I’m missing. 😉
Here are a year's worth of pictures that go with 5th grade science https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8ayvciguufvUFY1Qk5qLVdpem8/view?usp=sharing
They will work with other grades as well and they also elicit great conversations :)
Thank you, Ms Sheila!
