I just don’t understand why our middle schoolers can’t go a full day two days a week but our elementary kids can? why can’t the teachers move classrooms instead of the kids moving classrooms
Maurene Stanton
31:17
This was a common question. Dr. Schaaf and Mr. Johnston will be explaining this soon.
Jessica Barr
37:04
Is the 7:40-9:25 required or can they choose to come at 11:45?
ashley
37:41
are siblings going on the same day I need my kids to be on the same day one is elementary and one middle
Erika Sigmon
37:54
since all of their classes are completed online, will every class have enough computers for everyone to sign on to do their work while at school, or do we have to send them to school with their laptops?
Maurene Stanton
38:44
The classes are to provide additional support for academics and are to help provide social emotional support. New material won't be introduced during the morning session.
Jerry
38:45
their are different models in public and private sector that are allowing instruction for secondary education that are success in not having covid risk. why aren’t we looking at these proven models that exist in other parts of the country?
Maurene Stanton
39:37
Students will only be able to attend in person from 7:40-9:25.
Karl Fossum
40:39
Can you please repeat the transport plan for the in person classes?
Maurene Stanton
40:52
That will be space dependent. Contact your principal to let them know you need to make a change.
Maurene Stanton
41:25
Attendance will be taken. They should bring their computers.
Maurene Stanton
43:07
Also, if students aren't going to attend every day, the schools just need to know the reason students aren't attending. We need to monitor absences related to illness.
ashley
43:07
what happens if you can’t make the switch but you have to work and you can’t leave your elementary kid home alone
margaret kepler
43:09
Was there any consideration given to putting kids in smaller cohorts and let them attend all their classes in person with their cohort. Ex kids in the same math class go through all their classes together. I feel our kids need in-person classesx
Maurene Stanton
44:23
I just added this question to the end of the list. I'll try to get Dan or Lloy to provide an answer.
Maurene Stanton
45:03
We will work with the schools. We want to meet the needs of families. The sooner you get ahold of the school, the more likely they will be able to accommodate families.
Maurene Stanton
45:17
Absolutely!
Maurene Stanton
45:40
They can change their minds later.
courtney
46:06
when will there be a reassessment to potentially move to full day from the ab 2 hour model
941-9437-7401
46:33
if this plan is successful in not spreading transmission, has it been discussed to when the kids can go back to two days full time?
Maurene Stanton
47:48
We will continually be evaluating the plan, discussing the model with our labor unions, and monitor metrics. If things go well, we anticipate adding more time.
Melissa Alexander
49:04
If I excuse my student from a morning of in-person (or a single period), will it count as an absence on a student’s attendance record? Or can I “attest” that they are doing learning at home that day?
Maurene Stanton
49:31
We will continually be monitoring our plan and following guidance from state and health districts. If we can add more time safely, we will work to do so.
Maurene Stanton
51:27
Hi Melissa. I've added that question to the bottom of Dr. Schaaf and Mr. Johnston's list of questions. I don't have the answer for that. Sorry!
Melissa Alexander
51:33
Thank you
ashley
54:52
why can’t they just have a temp check done like the elementary? we fill out a form once a month or so for elementary why can’t we do it for middle
Maurene Stanton
56:28
The screening will be rapid. Students answer quick questions while they get their temperature taken. Students at middle and high school are able to answer the questions themselves, so we will allow them to do that. We have been doing the screening with our special populations who are attending now, and it is working very well.

I just joined due to work what is plan for 2021 seniors
ashley
58:11
what will we need to purchase for our kids that they might need while at school
Maurene Stanton
58:48
Hi Becky, Welcome. We are recording this and will make it available to everyone via our website. The SHS administrators will be reaching out to seniors to discuss specifics for seniors.
Maurene Stanton
01:00:10
I don't believe there will be any specific supply requirements. They should bring their Chromebook with them. If something special is required, teachers will let students know. Great question!
Kim Smelser
01:00:49
What date would this proposal format include high school students?
H Woods
01:02:16

shanda
01:02:55
what about Saratoga school? they usually have one day on site per week and they’ve reintroduced 1-5 as of this point. will they be extending that opportunity to secondary students as well?
Mandy Whitaker
01:04:29
Does the band room in the middle school have enough room to accommodate spreading the kids 9 feet apart. If not, is there another space they could use? I thought I heard bell covers would be supplied by the school, is that correct?
Joe Lipari
01:04:35
What is my family has received both doses of the vaccine, as that grows would you consider letting them back full time? to attend class?
Holly
01:04:51
How many covid incidents have occurred in the district already this year?
amber bridgman
01:05:06
Will there be a time set aside for 6th graders to tour the school and find their classes before the first day of in person classes to avoid anxiety of not being able to find their classes in the shortened transition time?
Maurene Stanton
01:06:44
Unfortunately, we won't be able to do this. Teachers will be teaching online classes.
M Riker
01:06:54
Will you be following the same closure we experienced after Winter break for spring break? two weeks at home
941-9437-7401

Lara Brown
01:07:19

Maurene Stanton
01:07:38
The buildings are working on "orientation plans" for incoming 6th and 9th graders
Karen
01:08:45
If our child cannot come on the Mon/Tues due to parent work schedules, how do they switch to Thurs/Fri?
Erin Haggard
01:09:02
if a kid is sick as in a regular cold will protocol be the same as the elementary? will they have to stay home for 10 days like them?
Lara Brown
01:09:36
how many teachers will be two weeks past their second vaccines by February 22? Any? Is this a concern to the district?
Maurene Stanton
01:10:46
I don't know how many will have their second vaccine. We're getting folks vaccinated as fast as we can.

J Everett
01:13:30
What do you envision it to look like during a typical high school class period? If there is no new teaching, will students be welcome to visit/socialize? I’m not asking about masks and social distancing. I know this will be happening.
L Konnerup
01:13:35
What is the possibility of a student has opted out of the in school learning but is needing support in a specific class, are they able to come to school on the day that class period is in session to receive help?
Maurene Stanton
01:14:00
