What happened post earthquake that helped your business and Downtown recover, which we might learn from as we work to recover from this pandemic?

Cynthia's description of the cross section of the community who worked *together* is important. Today it seems the efforts are made to pass through the City staff's offices for vetting, before anything can happen. The Vision CS effort was acceptable to a lot of people because a lot of people were included in making it. we need this today. Indeed, the interest is there and this is bery needed.

Thanks for the encouragement

kamala, you were 9?

01:31:17
How do we look anew at our built environment, and separate that from preserving what makes Santa Cruz special?

01:32:29
How can we even better capture the spirit of Santa Cruz in our use of space?

01:33:59
I would add more to this subject

01:34:27
I agree w/ Zack - the new way of looking at the needs of DTSC , does not necessarily mean adding more buildings, or a single event...

01:35:05
100% agree..

01:35:37
Free? musicians need to eat, too!

01:36:15
One thought to add on to this is to reconsider bringing back the "busker program"? This program was a curated sign-up effort with wonderful results.

01:37:04
We have been talking about this somewhat with Parks and Recreation who could oversee the sign ups. Happy to talk through this idea further

01:37:40
Totally agree with Ellen's comments about entertainment and vibrancy.

01:44:03
Do we have an active, organized program to fill vacanys?

01:44:10
And I don’t mean to say that you/we/our businesses don’t represent Santa Cruz or what we want it to be, but just that we don’t represent ALL of what we want it to be. There are many more parts to the tapestry and the business community needs the tapestry to be complete to flourish.

01:44:21
where does this go from here?

01:45:15
I’ll pay you to play under my awnings Joe

01:45:20
this is our major priority and we will be talking more about it at the meeting at 11am and will be planning future meetings to get input from this interested in working on filling vacancies with us
