The staff to count mail in votes can include county, city and state employees who can be on loan from their own agencies and count votes while being paid their regular wages. This will standardize the election agency's budget.

IRONIC, pay walls. I could spend $100s on all the sources I'd like to read. Local paper, not good journalism recently.

strategies around paywalls: try opening in incognito mode or see if your library has a subscription, SPL & KCLS both have subs to NYT, WaPo, WSJ, etc that can be accessed with your library card

Paywalls are getting more common because advertisers are abandoning print media and that cuts the revenue that would support print media.

My Louisville is a great source for content. Newspapers included.

I've always subscribed to my local new organizations for "real" reporters to keep our lawmakers on their toes.

Paywalls support reliable presenters like Katie Halper, Richard Medhurst, and Franco of Franc Analysis. I get more than adequate verifiable news and information everyday and haven’t seen news "brought to you by Chevron or Raytheon" advertising in over five years.

@rich (personal opinion): some (the right in particular) tend to villainize a lot of things, I enjoy: horror movies, punk music, heavy metal, rap & hip hop as well as violent video games. I have enjoyed these things since the 80's, the rise of "moral panic". None of these things ever encouraged me to be violent to anyone in anyway.

TOR routes through multiple sites in order to hide your personal Id. Some of those sites are in foreign countries. Yahoo blocked my account and required a new password because there system told them I was logging in from a foreign country. TOR is good for some things, but can create problems.

No equivalent on android I am aware of (specifically the auto-generate) however most emails let you create multiple accounts and rerouting emails to a "main" email, it just takes time to set up
