Have you been invited to bring your research into our public schools, especially in light of the State Board of Education’s revision of the Social Studies curriculum - tho watered down , still inserting race into student study and leadership development.

If this were taught everywhere, you would have to talk about reparations. No one wants to have that conversation. A white "Christian" nation refuses to acknowledge and repent. Genocide, slavery and oppression have been consistent themes in building our nation.
Richard Hooker

Someone needs to donate the book to Sen Tim Scott of SC!

The Marrow of Tradition by Charles W. Chestnut (a famous Black American writer in the day) was published in 1901 as a NOVEL about the Wilmington coup. The Bedford Cultural Edition was published in 2002 with lots of commentary by noted historians. I found it as a used book on abebooks.com. Fascinating!!!

Have any of the descendants of those who fled in terror tried to reclaim their property? They must have left behind businesses and homes. We have as a country paid monies to those Japanese Americans who were interred during WWIII money for their loss of property and the injustice. Have lawsuits over ownership of properties occurred? We as a nation support such for those who lost property to the Nazis.

A forgotten massacre in Elaine, Arkansas, has been brought to light recently by Chester Johnson, a native of the same eastern area of the state. A group put up a memorial in Helena on the 100th anniversary @ 1919.
