What occurs to me is that his kids can get married in Israel and the state will acknowledge it while as a Reform Jew my kids would have to leave the country and then come back

Excellent insight. Yet as Reform Jews we command increasing respect in Israel, perhaps due to economic issues. But the Palestinian Israelis- van you imagine how powerless they feel? Marty

There are a number of Jews, don't know how many but of course more Arabs who are in favor of a one multi cultural nation state. Isn't that the elephant in the room for both ? Don't think that this is a real possibility.
