The webinar aims to assist GPs to:
* Manage infants that present with stridor & other symptoms which suggest upper airway
* Recognise nasal obstructive symptoms & when to refer patients for a specialist opinion & possible surgical management.
* Manage patients who present with neck lumps.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Recognise important symptoms & signs of upper airway obstruction in infants that require urgent referral or emergency treatment.
2. Recognise nasal obstructive symptoms & understand when to refer patients for surgical management of their nasal airway.
3. Describe which diagnostic tools can be employed in the GP setting & contribute to an accurate diagnosis of a neck lump.

Dr Caroline Ryan
ENT surgeon @Northpark Private Hospital
After completing her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Adelaide, Dr Ryan obtained a broad spectrum of surgical training in UK and subsequently trained in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in both London and Melbourne Australia. She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. Dr Ryan went on to undertake further subspecialty training in Paediatric Ear Nose and Throat Surgery in Auckland New Zealand. Dr Ryan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS), the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ANZSPO), the Australia and New Zealand Rhinologic Society (ANZRS) and the Australian Sleep Association (ASA). Dr Ryan maintains her ongoing Continuing Professional Development through regular attendance at Conferences and Courses around the world.
Dr Zenia Chow

Dr Zenia Chow is an Australian dual Fellowship trained, International Board Certified Otolaryngologist (ENT), Head and Neck and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She was born and raised in Australia and completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours after obtaining a full academic scholarship at the University of Melbourne. Dr Chow was in the Dean’s Honours list during her undergraduate studies. Initially, she began training in General Surgery in Victoria. Subsequently, she underwent ENT training in Perth, Western Australia and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. Dr Chow welcomes patients with any ENT problem. Interests include: Rhinoplasty/Nose job, functional, cosmetic, revision, Nasal airway and Sinus surgery, deviated septum, sinusitis, nasal polyps, allergic rhinitis, Skin Cancer of the Head & Neck including melanoma, reconstruction of facial defects and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
