Fresh Air: How Biofeedback is Transforming Respiratory Rehabilitation
Description
Breathing dysfunction is common in the aging adult population and can significantly impact quality of life. To meet the needs of a growing number of medically complex patients with respiratory compromise, providers are challenged to deliver effective and efficient treatment in a patient-centric way.
This webinar will detail how two leaders in the field of post-acute care, Synchrony Rehab and Accelerated Care Plus, partnered together to help optimize treatment and recovery of patients with underlying respiratory conditions. Synchrony Rehab was one of the first providers in the country to implement ACP's OmniFlow™ Breathing Therapy Biofeedback System. The OmniFlow is the first of its kind, biofeedback solution that combines an airflow sensor with an immersive virtual environment to provide patients and clinicians with an interactive and data-driven treatment experience. Synchrony’s therapy team and their nursing partners at Logan Acres Senior Community leveraged this innovative technology to help their patients to reduce O2 supplementation, reduce meds, and improve functional level upon discharge.
