AUS NZ | Storing Major & Minor Quantities of Dangerous Goods
In Australia, Chapter 7 of the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations sets out of the legal requirements and obligations in regards to health and safety for all workplaces, including the handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.

Although Chapter 7 does provide comprehensive requirements for storage of greater quantities of chemicals, it does not detail the requirements for minor quantities.

When storing hazardous chemicals there are distinctions that need to be made between major and minor quantities and when it comes to understanding those specific requirements, it is important to take into consideration the technical advice provided by the Australian Standards.

Join us in our next Mini Brief as we cover:
- Storage requirements for major and minor quantities of dangerous goods
- The range of technical requirements applicable
- Construction and location of stores
- Common occurrences and examples applicable to specific Dangerous Goods classes
