Connect the dots... In this Master Class we will dive into assessing oculomotor movements. The oculomotor nerve (CNIII) is responsible for most of the eye movements, parts of vision, and raising the eyelids. CN III works with CNIV (the trochlear n,) and CNV (the trigeminal) to coordinate eye movement. CNIII has both motor and parasympathetic fibers classifying it as a mixed nerve. Continuing our dialogue on stress and child development, when a child's eyes do not work as expected, stress can derail a child's performance in school and have a far reaching impact on their well-being.
