James Tacchini
Sergeant @San Francisco Police Department
James Tacchini is a Sergeant with the San Francisco Police Department. He is currently assigned to investigate officer involved shootings and use of force incidents. Sergeant Tacchini is also part of the Departments Crisis and Hostage Negotiation Team where he is required to de-escalate critical situations. Sergeant Tacchini is passionate about teaching and is one of SFPD’s Use Of Force and Crisis Intervention Team instructors where he teaches force options, de-escalation, and legal updates to officers which have impacted and changed police work over the past several years.
Jason Louis
Sergeant @Ventura County Sheriff’s Office
Sergeant Jason Louis is a 20 year law enforcement veteran who’s worked in a variety of assignments including two jail facilities, patrol, specialized units and investigations. He’s currently assigned as the training supervisor at his agency's regional training center. Use of Force has been a specialized focus for the majority of Jason’s career. He currently oversees his agency’s Use of Force, Arrest and Control and Taser Cadres; teaches various defensive tactics and use of force courses in POST Perishable Skills Programs and to Basic Academy Recruits; and is a member of his agency's use of force review board.
