Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, more colleges than ever are using text messaging to stay connected to and motivate their students. But as you know, faculty and staff have faced their own challenges during this tumultuous time. Persistence Plus worked with two innovative partners, Lorain County Community College (OH) and Bennett College (NC), to design and pilot a new strategy for supporting faculty and staff. Modeled after our evidence-based approach to increasing student engagement and success, we sent interactive text messages to keep faculty and staff informed and connected.
Join us as we discuss what led to these pilots, the different strategies employed at these two unique colleges, the science behind this approach, and how each institution is incorporating this support into its long-term plans for faculty and staff success.
