This webinar will consider the results of the second wave of the Scottish Tourism Index, a new monthly survey of Scottish views and opinions about holiday taking during this period of COVID-19 lockdown.
The survey was conducted by 56 Degree Insight, a Scottish based research and insights company, amongst a representative sample of Scots in early May and is being repeated in early June. During the webinar you will hear how Scots are feeling about the prospects of taking holidays and breaks when lockdown restrictions are eased sufficiently to allow this to happen – where are they most likely to consider initially, both within Scotland and further afield, and importantly, how has lockdown and the COVID-19 impacts affected their considerations around not just destination, but also where they might stay and what they might do. The June wave will also include questions around travelling around – their preferred means of transport following lockdown – and also how they feel about the impacts on local communities and businesses.
The webinar is relevant for all tourism businesses in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. When you join, please note that your video and microphone will be turned off, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar. Please note that this webinar will be recorded.
