Description
Join Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) for the next installment in the Hearing Health Hour webinar series. This presentation will be led by past Emerging Research Grants (ERG) scientist Nancy Tye-Murray, Ph.D., a Professor at Washington University School of Medicine and the CEO and Founder of clEAR/Amptify.
Hearing loss challenges don’t stop at the ears. Co-morbidities of hearing loss include social isolation and loneliness, depression, increased risk of falls, and cognitive decline and related dementias. This presentation will describe how digital therapeutics are changing the face of healthcare, and then present an example of how digital therapeutics may be used to treat hearing loss and its downstream effects. Attendees will be able to participate in a Q&A with Tye-Murray at the end of the session.
This event will be moderated by Anil Lalwani, M.D., who is a member of HHF's Board of Directors and the Head of the Council of Scientific Trustees, the body that oversees the ERG program. Lalwani is also Professor & Vice Chair for Research, Division of Otology, Neurology & Skull Base Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and the Co-Director of the Columbia Cochlear Implant Program.
