Description
For more than 30 years, Elyse Winery has produced vineyard-designate Zinfandels and Cabernets from Napa Valley's most celebrated vineyards.
OVERVIEW
Wines with a Sense of Place…From what started with a handful of barrels made from a dear friend's vineyard in 1987, Elyse Winery has been the waypoint for countless wine lovers to experience California wines and fall in love with wines and vineyards of all regions and acclaim.
"If you try our wines and conclude that the weather of the vintage, the soils where the grapes were grown, the hands that tended to the farms, and the late nights of our winemaking team created a singular experience, we have done our job." -Josh Peeples, Proprietor
WHERE WINEMAKING IS AN ART
Each row of Elyse's vineyards requires specific farming techniques to heighten expression of fruit and terroir. They love taking risks in farming — the rewards are worth it.
Their grapes are harvested carefully by hand, then they sort each lot at the winery.
The winery seeks out vineyards where each varietal can express itself in its purest form. Thanks to decades of partnerships and hard work with their growers and farmers, each Elyse vineyard-designate wine embodies a specific time and place.
MEET OWNER JOSHUA PEEPLES
A native of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Josh Peeples moved to San Francisco in the late nineties, where he co-founded a start-up focusing on order management software for the beverage industry.
Napa Valley sparked a curiosity about the wine industry and led him to move to wine country, where he has been ever since.
Alongside some of the world's leading winemakers and famed vineyards he has been making wine since 2002.
