Medicine supply disruptions and shortages during the pandemic
The pandemic has impacted many aspects of our society, including our supply chains. Many drugs became or are becoming short on supply throughout the world.

Supply disruptions and shortages do not only affect final drug products during this pandemic. They can also affect active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients. Medicines affected hence include re-purposed drugs to prevent/treat CoViD-19 as well as routinely used medicines.

With speakers from different regions of the world, this webinar will present some of the medicines supply disruption and shortages, state some of the potential reasons, and introduce actions taken by governments and organisations to face these challenges.
Learning objectives:
● Describe the differences between supply disruptions, low stocks, and shortages
● List the main medicines and healthcare products affected
● Explain the potential impact of these issues
● Outline different strategies developed to face these problems in different regions and countries
