Lisa Carrel

Lisa is CEO and Co-Founder of Proxfinity, a Chicago based wearable event technology startup. Her company uses hardware and software to deliver social hardware, for business. She is a female founder in manufacturing focused on fundamentally changing the way humans use technology to connect. Among her accomplishments her startup was a 2019 Momentum Awards finalist, Chicago Innovation Award winner, recognized by A.T. Kearney as a Digital innovator and by Chicago Inno as a top five startup to watch. She regularly speaks and guest lectures on her experience as a founder, trends and tools used to affect and measure diversity and inclusion initiatives and the importance of sales on every aspect of building a business. She is a member of 1871, WiSTEM, the Chicago Connectory, Chicago Founders Circle and recently accepted into Catapult Chicago (where startups go to scale).
Miho Shoji
Co-Founder & CEO @Moodbit
Miho Shoji is a serial entrepreneur, with over 10 years of experience in different industries, markets and countries. Currently she is the co-founder and CEO of Moodbit, a People Analytics company using AI to understand in real-time the employee engagement, and help them with their wellbeing. Miho is a specialist in People Analytics and corporate communications, as well in the Science of Happiness. This is her second company in the HR industry, and have been developing technology and strategies to solve corporate challenges for a decade. She has been leading Moodbit since 2018 and and has achieved successes such as being selected Top Picks at TechCruch Disrupt San Francisco 2019; AWS Startup Day winners, and Alberta Innovation Future of Work winner 2020. Currently, she is based in New York City, and had previously worked in different countries in South America.
Brian Starbuck

Brian Starbuck is a chemist with over 40 years’ experience in a wide range of industrial chemical disciplines. Educated at Colorado State University (BS) and Oregon State University (MS) both in Chemistry. Semiconductors, Bulk Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Pharmaceutical Quality Control, Nanometer sized powders, and most recently (10 years) chemical decontamination/disinfection formula development are the highlighted areas of specific expertise. Bringing decontamination/disinfection products to the market required highly specialized analytical chemistry skills, regulatory understanding, efficacy experimental design skills, application understanding and development of manufacturing practices for a three-part product designed to be blended at point of use. The technical disciplines for success include understanding of biofilms, surface chemistry, disinfection mechanisms and fluid dynamics.
