He then joined the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco, where he remains to this day. He is the founder and director of the world’s first clinic devoted to prevention of anal cancer, the Anal Neoplasia Clinic at the UCSF Cancer Center. He is the chair of the HPV Working Group of the U.S. National Cancer Institute-supported AIDS Malignancy Consortium. He is the immediate past president of the International Papillomavirus Society and is the founder and immediate past president of the International Anal Neoplasia Society. He is a member of the ASCI and AAP. His research interests include the molecular pathogenesis and natural history of HPV-related disease. Megan Clarke (Earl Stadtman Investigator @Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics, National Cancer Institute, USA) Dr. Clarke is an Investigator in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics at the U.S. National Cancer Institute. Her research focuses on the clinical epidemiology of gynecologic and anogenital cancers and on the evaluation of novel biomarkers for cervical cancer and anal cancer screening in diverse populations. Dr. Clarke is a member of the Steering Committee for the Cervical Cancer Enduring Guidelines’ effort and is a Working Group Leader for the International Anal Neoplasia Society’s initiative to develop international guidelines for anal cancer screening. Ashish Deshmukh (Associate Professor @UTHealth School of Public Health, Houston, USA) Dr. Deshmukh an Associate Professor at UTHealth School of Public Health (UTSPH). He is Associate Director of The Center for Health Services Research and Co-Director of the Clinical Analytics and Decision Science Lab at UTSPH, where he leads cancer epidemiology, decision science, and cancer simulation modeling program. Dr. Deshmukh’s research is centered in the development and use of data-driven simulation models to evaluate clinical and public health strategies aimed at prevention and/or treatment of human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated diseases. He also conducts population-based research studying HPV infection and associated cancer epidemiology and prevention.
