Topic
AOD Nurses: Are we an endangered species?
Description
Based on DANA’s ambitious State of the Workforce: 2020 research project, this webinar will paint a picture of the alcohol and other drug (AOD) nursing workforce across Australia and New Zealand. It will also answer the question: ‘Are we an endangered species?’
You will:
• Find out about the demographic profile of AOD nurses, including their work location and demographic characteristics.
• Learn about issues specific to contemporary AOD nursing, including an alarming situation that could lead to the extinction of the specialty.
• Listen to their voice of AOD nurses as they speak through the research about their work and the challenges they face.
• Hear about ‘the recruitment paradox’ and the ‘ideal AOD nurse’.
You will also learn about what strategies DANA is employing to improve workforce sustainability in Australia and New Zealand (plus some very special announcements).
