ASK THE EXPERTS Coping With Screens: What Parents Need to Know about Technology and Mental Health
My son says that the only thing he likes to do is to play video games - I feel like he is withdrawing into them - what can I do? Are the likes and comments on my daughter’s Instagram feed causing her anxiety? How can I help my teens avoid the negative mental health impacts of their contrast screen engagement?

An interdisciplinary team of experts will elucidate what the science says about digital media and its relation with anxiety, depression, suiciality, and addiction, as well as social wellbeing and connectedness. The workshop will provide parents, families, and practitioners with evidence-based, practical advice about how to help children, teens, and families cope with our digital lives this summer and beyond.
