Amy Bloom
Assistant Technical Plant Engineer @SUEZ recycling and recovery
Amy Bloom is a chemical engineer with consultancy experience across the waste sector, with a broad-ranging technical understanding including industrial, hazardous and municipal streams. Since the start of the pandemic, she has worked as a plant engineer on an anaerobic digestion site; her work now focuses on the processing of household food waste. She graduated with a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering (MEng) from Aston University with research into the feasibility of blending pyrolysis oils from waste to power large marine vessels. Amy has volunteered in Central America with Raleigh International and as a STEM ambassador in the UK with people under 18 to heighten awareness of environmental issues. She is a member of Women's Engineering Society's climate emergency group focusing on SDG12 responsible consumption & production.
