Joel is the second generation in the family business. Easterns Automotive Group is a family owned Used Car Dealership that has sold over 3 billion dollars in vehicles since opening in 1988. He stated working for Easterns at 12 washing cars and has worked just about every job you can in the car business. Named to the 40 under 40 in the used car industry in 2019, Joel heads up the entire marketing operation and most of the operations for the entire organization of Easterns Automotive Group’s corporate facility, reconditioning center and eight retail locations spread throughout the greater DC and Baltimore areas. Joel is an avid traveler and hiker and looks forward to getting back to traveling soon with his wife and soon to be born first child, a little girl. Joel’s purpose is to curated curiosity and generate growth for himself and all those around him.
Kate Herman
Director of Learning and Development @The Motley Fool
As head of employee learning & development, Kate works with team members across The Motley Fool to help keep the everyone up to speed on business, goals, industry, and more. Kate also serves a team member relations role, working with others to navigate difficult conversations, facilitate team discussions, and push past obstacles to find success. Kate is a peer and executive-level coach, working to discover opportunities, plow down blockers, and resolve challenges.

Jennifer is a real estate attorney representing clients in all aspects of sophisticated commercial real estate finance, acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing projects. She serves as chair of WAVe, Women Attorneys at Venable, whose mission is to improve the rate of retention, promotion, and advancement of women attorneys within the firm, and to increase the number and strength of women attorney applicants. She is also the administrative partner of Venable’s Washington, DC office and a member of the firm's Opinion Letter Committee. Jennifer formerly served as the hiring partner of Venable's Washington, DC office.
