Jean-Marc Nasr
Head of Space Systems, Airbus Defence and Space & President, Airbus Defence and Space SAS @Airbus Defence and Space
Jean-Marc Nasr is Head of Space Systems within Airbus Defence and Space and President of Airbus Defence and Space SAS, appointed 1st June 2019. He had previously been Head of Asia Pacific Region for Airbus and Airbus Defence and Space, based in Singapore from January of the same year. From 2014 to 2018, he acted as Executive Vice President in Airbus Defence and Space, and headed France, UK, Middle East and Africa regional activities. Before that, he was President of Cassidian SAS as well as Head of Cassidian France and Security Solutions, managing notably the Secure Communications and Cybersecurity business lines from September 2012. Jean-Marc obtained an Engineering Degree from the Advanced School of Electricity (SUPELEC) in 1985 and a PhD in Physics from Paris University (Paris 7) in 1989. Jean-Marc is a licensed private pilot and has also been knighted ‘Chevalier de l’ordre national de la Légion d’honneur’ as well as ‘Chevalier de l’ordre national du Mérite’.

In over 20 years working in the space sector, Steve has advised a wide range of clients including commercial and government actors along the space value chain. As COO, he leads the corporate organizational processes and development. He developed and managed Euroconsult’s North American offices in Canada and the US from 2008 to 2015.Since joining Euroconsult in 2001, Steve has managed and supervised consulting missions for government organizations and industrial companies worldwide seeking support for their strategy in space and satellite applications. Assignments under his leadership include market studies, feasibility studies, business strategy, policy analyses, impact assessment, program financing etc. He has a Master of Law from McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law in Montreal, and a Master’s degree in International Law from La Sorbonne in Paris. His work has appeared in over 50 publications and he is a frequent speaker at space and satellite industry conferences.
