In 2022 he successfully sold his IT business of 16 years to focus purely on Cyber Security. He holds an impressive list of Security qualifications that few can claim in the UK, having been a Licensed Cyber Security Assessor for over 6 Years, he's worked with a wide range of organisations large and small. He's highly passionate about helping organisation improve their Cybersecurity and lives up to his name with his straight talking, pull no punches approach. Vanessa Eyels (Detective Superintendant @West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre) Vanessa joined West Midlands Police in 1993 and has delivered on a wide range of roles and specialisms across the organisation. She has worked as a Senior Investigating Officer within Force Criminal Investigation Department, overseeing kidnaps, firearms crimes, attempt murders and crimes within HMP Birmingham. She then worked within the Public Protection Unit overseeing complex child abuse and child deaths. Prior to leading the WMCRC she was also previously a Cyber lead for a large section of Birmingham local policing. She has a passion that prevention remains better than cure.
