Equity gaps are a persistent challenge for colleges seeking to retain and graduate students, as well as address issues of social justice. Delaware Technical Community College partnered with Persistence Plus to tackle equity gaps through a behaviorally informed summer text messaging intervention. We targeted students seeking admission to Allied Health and Nursing programs, a vital pipeline to ensure public health both during and after COVID-19.
Come learn how personalized, interactive text messages brought back students who had paused their education, and closed retention gaps based on race, income, and gender.
