Katharine Mead
Membership & Grants Manager @The Rockwell Museum
Katharine Mead believes museums provide essential services for our lives today. She works to keep museums useful and responsive to all, currently through her role as the Membership and Grants Manager at The Rockwell Museum in Corning, NY. Katharine previously worked in arts administration and museum education at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, and Mystic Seaport Museum.
Tom Barry
Assistant Director of Education @Cradle of Aviation and Education Center
Tom Barry has been the Assistant Director of Education at the Cradle of Aviation Museum since 2019. Prior to that, he was the Senior Manager for Community Engagement at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. He has twenty-three years of experience in education both in and out of the classroom. His background and experiences have led him to design programming that seeks first to facilitate positive social and educational experiences before trying to achieve any academic objectives.
Michelle Mileham, PhD.
Project Manager @Utah Division of Arts & Museums
Michelle Mileham (she/her) is Project Manager for the Measurement of Museum Social Impact study with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums. She previously served as Director of Education at Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, UT. Michelle completed a Master’s and Ph.D. at Oregon State University, studying Environmental Science and Education with a specific focus on museum education. Michelle loves to garden, cook (with things from her garden!), craft, listen to podcasts, and tweet @mamileham.
Calvin Uzelmeier, PhD.
Director of Featured Content @Rochester Museum & Science Center
Dr. Calvin Uzelmeier is the Director of Featured Content in the Exhibits Department at the RMSC Museum & Science Center. In his current role he: is responsible for the development and alignment of interpretation in support of exhibition planning, promotion and evaluation; provides content and engagement expertise across exhibition development and design; leads front-end, formative, and summative evaluation of exhibition content, including featured programming; and coordinates traveling exhibit experiences. In his 22 years at the RMSC, Calvin has worked in both the Exhibits and Education Departments. He also teaches in the Museum Studies program at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
