Tree Saps and Syrups

The late winter sap of many trees are edible and nutritious and if you boil them down to syrup they are really delicious. The sap of all maple trees, birch trees, and walnut trees can be consumed directly when they are rich in minerals or boiled into a sweet syrup. In this class we will cover what trees to tap, what equipment you need, how and when to tap the trees, how to make syrup from sap, and how to use the saps and syrups.
