David Dodge

David Dodge is a writer, researcher and LGBTQ advocate with a special interest in parenting, politics and travel. He’s written extensively for The New York Times, HuffPost Queer Voices, The Advocate, Travel & Leisure and elsewhere. He is best known for chronicling his own journey to fatherhood in Sperm Donor Diary, a series of personal essays for The New York Times. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from New York University and a Masters of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Lauren Jiang is the Director of Pre & Post Adoption Services at Spence-Chapin. Lauren was drawn towards Spence-Chapin because of their ethical approach to adoption, meaning they welcome all families regardless of age, race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity, just to name a few. Lauren believes that there is nothing more influential to human development than the family you were raised in. That is why working with people and creating families is such a rewarding field for her. When she is not working, she is a wife and a mother to her one-year-old baby.
