Key considerations for developing COVID-19 treatments: learning from the past and planning for the future
The webinar will start with an overview of the ongoing clinical research undertaken to assess potential candidates for COVID-19 treatment. This will be followed by presenting the findings of a systematic literature review undertaken to identify the major factors affecting the cost effectiveness of antivirals for the treatment of pandemic influenza. The key considerations in the development of treatments for COVID-19 will then be summarised, in light of these findings, including considerations around safety, efficacy, costs and pricing.
