This interactive webinar provides GP’s with pertinent knowledge and practical skills to completely manage common ophthalmic presentations in general practice.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Summarise some common ophthalmic conditions that GP’s may encounter.
2. Determine the practical approach to management of common conditions such as dry eye, chalazion and conjunctivitis.
3. Identify red flags for referral.

Dr Matthew Green
Ophthalmologist @Tweed Day Surgery
Dr Green is a Queensland trained Ophthalmologist who has recently completed subspecialty training in corneal, cataract and refractive surgery at the world famous Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Dr Green specialises in • Cataract surgery • Pterygium surgery • Corneal graft surgery • Collagen Cross-Linking for Keratoconus • EXCIMER laser refractive surgery for keratoconus • Glaucoma treatment Dr Green originally qualified as an Optometrist at Queensland University of Technology and completed his medical degree at University of Queensland. Dr Green spent two years as a resident at Gold Coast Hospital. Then after four years of training in public hospitals in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Lismore he completed his training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Here he received specialised training in corneal, cataract, refractive and glaucoma surgery under the supervision of Professor John Dart, Professor David Gartry and Mr Mark Wilkins.
Dr Esra Sanli
Ophthalmologist @Tweed Day Surgery
Dr Sanli is an ophthalmic surgeon who specialises in • Cataract surgery • Oculoplastic surgery (ptosis, eyelid skin cancer, ectropion & entropion repair, blepharoplasty, lacrimal surgery) • Pterygium surgery. Dr Esra Sanli is an Australian trained, comprehensive general ophthalmologist, who also holds an appointment as a staff specialist at the Gold Coast University Hospital. Dr Sanli completed her undergraduate medical degree with Honours at The University of Tasmania. Her specialist ophthalmology training was at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. Dr Sanli undertook fellowship training at Cheltenham and Gloucester General Hospital’s in the United Kingdom. During this time she honed her skills in cataract, eyelid and lacrimal surgery under the guidance of world renowned oculoplastic surgeon, Mr Ric Caesar.
