Whitepaper Launch - Principals' Perspectives on the Impact of COVID-19: Pathways Toward Equity in Australian Schools
Pivot Professional Learning in partnership with the Coalition of Australian Principals is pleased to announce the launch of our latest research based on a nation-wide survey of more than 450 school leaders, ‘Principal Perspectives on the Impact of COVID-19: Pathways Toward Equity in Australian Schools’.

Our national survey of school principals has laid bare the extreme challenges faced by Australian schools and students during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic – but has also revealed unexpected benefits that could lead to permanent changes in the way we run schools and educate our children.

Our latest research reveals:
+ Three out of four principals developed stronger relationships with teachers and families during the 2020 school year
+ 97% of principals experienced an increase in their workload, yet only 30% reported a decrease in job satisfaction
+ 65% of high-ICSEA school principals reported a successful transition to online learning in comparison to only 30% of low-ICSEA school principals
+ Principals believe the top three areas for investment in 2021 are teacher training, social workers and school psychologists

Join Pivot CEO, Amanda Bickerstaff and representatives from the Coalition of Australian Principals as we explore the findings of our research. We will be joined by:

+ Andrew Pierpoint - President, Australian Secondary Principals Association
+ Ann Rebgetz - President, Catholic Secondary Principals Association
+ Beth Blackwood - President, Association of Heads of Independent Schools Australia
+ Dyonne Anderson - President, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Principals Association
+ Matthew Johnson - President, Australian Special Education Principals Association
+ Malcolm Elliott - President, Australian Primary Principals Association
