Michelle May
Highway Safety Program Manager @Ohio Department of Transportation
Michelle May has been a member of the Ohio Department of Transportation for more than 33 years, serving in communication and program management roles. For the past 15 years, May has managed ODOT's $158 million Highway Safety Program, which provides technical expertise and funding to state and local governments to improve high-crash and severe-crash roads. She also manages a statewide coalition of organizations focused on reducing traffic deaths and serious injuries across Ohio – including distracted driving, pedestrians, older drivers and young drivers between the ages of 15 and 25.
Kimberly Schwind
Senior Manager of Public Affairs @AAA Ohio Auto Club
Kimberly manages the public relations, traffic safety and government affairs activity at the club. She has been with AAA for 10 years and is a passionate traffic safety advocate who serves as the co-chair for the Ohio Graduated Driver Licensing Coalition, team lead for the Strategic Highway Safety Plan’s Older Road User Emphasis Area, and was recently appointed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to serve on the Ohio Traffic Safety Council. Schwind strives to partner with organizations throughout Ohio to prevent crashes and reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries on Ohio’s roads. Before joining AAA in 2010, Kimberly worked as a reporter and meteorologist at WHIO, News Center 7, in Dayton, Ohio. She also held on air positions at ONN (The Ohio News Network) and WHIZ, Zanesville. Kimberly earned a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications from Miami University in 2005 and a BS in Atmospheric Science from The Ohio State University in 2007.
