Elsie Chua BSN, RN, PHN
Community Liaison, Public Health Nurse @Los Angeles County Department of Public Health
Elsie Chua started her nursing career as an emergency room trauma nurse at LAC+USC. She went back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a Public Health Nurse. As Public Health Nurse, she is able to focus more on identifying health issues by facilitating access to Health and Social Services. Some of her most humbling experiences are when she worked with disadvantaged and disabled children at California Children Services (CCS) and managing COVID-19 outbreaks with the population of Persons Experiencing Homelessness (PEH) in Skid Row. Promoting the health and well-being of the Los Angeles Community is what motivates her to serve each day.
