Dr. Mike Berger
Principal Investigator, International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD) @UBC
Dr. Mike Berger is a Principal Investigator at the International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD) at UBC. His research laboratory uses non-invasive neuromuscular assessment techniques to examine the effects of neurotrauma, surgical interventions and rehabilitation strategies, on various aspects of the neuromuscular system. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, UBC. His primary clinical interest is in the area of complex nerve injury and he serves as consultant physiatrist for two provincial complex nerve injury programs. Dr. Berger received his medical and graduate training through the combined MD/PhD program at Western University. He then went on to complete residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UBC, which included sub-speciality training in electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular medicine, in the Neuromuscular Diseases Unit at Vancouver General Hospital.
