Expert Webinar Series: Diversity and Bias Thinking
What is implicit bias? Where does bias come from? Why do we believe the things we believe, and how do we change as we grow?

Register for this important training and conversation, led by Erika McCalpine, an expert in equity and inclusion work, co-founder of the Love Your Neighbor forums and OSU-Cascades Business Instructor and Degree Program Lead.

Erika will cover a wide range of topics, including implicit bias, the difference between equality/equity/justice, and a review of academic studies on who is most impacted by bias.

The one-hour training will be followed by 30 minutes of open questions for individuals looking to learn more about bias, and what tangible actions may be taken to overcome bias and have impact. Joining in the Q&A portion is Anyssa Bohanan from Zolo Media and Marcus LeGrand, Pathway College and Career Success Coach & Instructor with COCC.

This forum is brought to you by the Bend YP group, with Jeff Kitchens, co-chair of the Inclusive Innovation Initiative group moderating as our host.

Participants will receive materials before and after the webinar, and are encouraged to take one or more of the Implicit Association Tests they find most interesting, and be prepared to discuss: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html
