Race and Heart Disease in America: A Path Forward
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, accounting for about 1 in 4 fatalities each year. This sobering statistic has remained largely unchanged for decades within populations of color, particularly for Black Americans. To help uncover how we’ve arrived at this point and where to go from here, the Medical Alley Association has partnered with the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) and the Preventative Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) to start thought-provoking conversations and, ultimately, meaningful change in healthcare.

In the third and final installment of this series, we will feature thought leaders in the cardiovascular space as they share their strategies to work towards the elimination of health inequities, including tested community approaches and policy solutions.
