Uncovering little known vignettes with Madhuker Upadhyay
We all know Mahatma Gandhi as an apostle of truth, an explorer of the science of non-violence and a divine soul. But this is not all. There are many more facets to the great man that are little known.
One such facet is Gandhi’s deep understanding of music as soul mover. His philosophy of music was different and all new. He saw it as the glue binding the society together and pushing it upwards.
Where people did not speak in one voice, where there was no harmony, where life was bereft of music, dreams of Swaraj cannot be realized, he often said.
In this session Madhuker Upadhyay takes us on a journey unveiling the lesser known facet of Gandhi as a connoisseur of music, regaling us with tales and anecdotes about Gandhi’s favourite music and how it reflected in many decisions in his life.
