Building Friendship and Intimacy with Gottman Couples Therapy
This webinar is for mental health professionals who work with couples and individuals experiencing sexual difficulties. This presentation will give the clinician clear objectives for assessment and treatment of common sex-related concerns for long-term, monogamous couples regardless of their sexual orientation. Many clinicians do not receive adequate if any, sex therapy training in graduate school. This lack of training and access to resources can leave the clinician with missing pieces in the therapy room. This training seeks to fill in those gaps with concrete education and starting tools.

This webinar will help clinicians:

-Assess a couples intimate and sexual lives through the lens of the Friendship System in the Sound Relationship House model

-Understand common sexuality-related concerns that present in couples therapy

-Receive clear and easy-to-implement tools to use in the therapy room to address the common sex-related issues using Gottman principles

-Learn how to talk with your clients about sex in a way that reduces anxiety for both the clinician and clients and increases openness
