This is bound to be a fantastic panel discussion!
Hear what challenges are overcome and insights gained in the production of documentaries that touch on exploiting prison inmates for profit, the vicissitudes of sanctuary and the portrayal of sex workers in film. Unique questions about the documentary process such as how place determines what films get made, how differences between early visions and actual conclusions are reconciled and how much public demand and funding affect themes chosen will be discussed.
Panelists include Arizona documentary filmmakers: Lisa Molomot (Soledad) and Juliana Piccillo (Whores on Film), John Sheedy (Rosa’s Sanctuary) and John Wright (Imprisoned for Profit) will comprise this distinguished panel.
