Once complete, this transaction will increase Eno River State Park to over 4,700 acres in Durham and Orange counties. The property includes Historic Occoneechee Speedway Trail, the James M. Johnston Nature Preserve, parts of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail and Hillsborough Riverwalk, and the remains of four known early settlements dating back to A.D. 1000, including an Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation village.
