Power Quality & Grounding for Data Centres (English)
Clean uninterruptible conditioned power is the key requirement for powering mission-critical data-centres. Notwithstanding the application of redundant systems with backup utilities and standby supplies to comply with Tier classification, problems in electrical power systems remain the major cause impacting on the availability and downtime of the datacenters. Often the problems are attributed to power quality and grounding issues not being holistically addressed when designing the power infrastructure, together with inadequate understanding of the UPS technologies.
