5G open RAN: an analytics-based approach to building and optimizing the network
Join 5G small cell specialists Picocom and analytics experts UltraSoC, as we discuss the challenges of building and optimizing open RAN systems, and explain how integrated monitoring and analytics can be used throughout the product lifecycle - from system-on-chip (SoC) development, to network deployment.

Hosted by UltraSoC CTO Gajinder Panesar and Picocom President Peter Claydon, this webinar will show how the two companies are working together to accelerate SoC development at Picocom; but just as importantly how the use of embedded analytics can benefit Picocom's customers, working at the forefront of cellular technology today.

We will be running the webinar twice; on Thursday 6 August 2020, at 7am BST (2pm CST), and 5pm BST (9am PDT, 12pm CST). Registering will allow you to join at both times. However, it would be helpful if you could indicate by checking one of the boxes below which webinar you intend to join.

Pete Claydon
President, Picocom
Peter Claydon is president of Picocom. He has a career spanning 35 years in the fields of semiconductors and wireless, ranging from avionic systems through video encoding and digital TV through to 3G, 4G and 5G cellular systems. He was a founder of Bath-based company Picochip, where he oversaw the creation of the first chips used in small cell cellular base stations, which are now deployed in their millions throughout the world. He also worked on the development of 4G base stations at Airspan Networks and as an applications consultant at UltraSoC. Immediately prior to joining PIcocom he was project director of the AutoAir 5G testbed.
Gajinder Panesar
CTO, UltraSoC
One of Europe’s leading SoC architects, Gadge’s experience includes senior architecture definition and design roles within both blue-chip and start-up environments. He holds more than 50 patents and is the author of more than 20 published works. Prior to joining UltraSoC, he served at NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA). As Chief Architect at Picochip he created the architecture of the company’s market-defining small-cell SoCs, and continued in this capacity after the company’s acquisition by Mindspeed Inc (NASDAQ:MSPD). His previous experience includes roles at STMicroelectronics, INMOS, and Acorn Computers. He is a former Research Fellow at the UK’s Southampton University, and a former Visiting Fellow at the University of Amsterdam.
