In the early years of the 1910s, suffragists turned up the heat in their struggle for the vote – taking to the streets for marches and parades. When the First World War broke out in Europe in the summer of 1914, leading suffragists turned these new tactics to another important cause – Peace. This lecture will provide an overview of the suffrage movement and detail its connections between Womens Suffrage and Peace Activism - and how it inspired Frank Miller.
