Brooklyn Community Foundation Presents Change Starts Here: A Webinar Series
Change Starts Here: COVID-19 Healthcare Equity & Trust
As we announce a new commitment of $250,000 from our Brooklyn COVID-19 Response Fund for frontline health outreach, education, and navigation in Brooklyn communities of color this Spring, we are gathering local experts to discuss vast inequities in both treatment and vaccination during the pandemic—in the context of a system that has historically abused and neglected Black, indigenous and other people of color—and the steps that need to be taken now to repair harm, build trust, and ensure self-determination in care. Join us for this conversation with Oni Blackstock (MD, MHS), Founder and Executive Director at Health Justice, Torian Easterling (MD, MPH), First Deputy Commissioner & Chief Equity Officer at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and local nonprofit leaders.

Please note: there will be live Closed Captioning available during this webinar. To RSVP for more webinars in the series, please visit our website at: bcfny.org/webinars
