Comfortable in the Cold: Winter Hiking in the Catskills
There's no shortage of hiking trails and beautiful scenery in the Catskill Park. During the winter season, visitors to the Park have the opportunity to experience a totally unique view of all that our environment has to offer. But snowfall, cold temperatures, and other factors can introduce hazards that many outdoor enthusiasts might not be familiar with.

On February 2nd at 12pm, Mountainkeeper is hosting a webinar all about Winter Hiking in the Catskills. We’ll hear from expert hikers David Hans of the Catskill Center and Stash Rusin–former Vice President of the 3500 Club and producer of the ‘Inside the Line’ podcast–as they share their knowledge and tales from the trail. Whether you’re planning a winter backpacking trip or a casual walk through the woods, this webinar will provide important information that every hiker should have to stay safe and comfortable in the cold.

We hope you'll join us for this enlightening discussion! This webinar is free and will be closed captioned for greater accessibility, but you must register in advance to participate.
